VIA Rail is looking for a senior accounting clerk - accounting operations

MAIN DUTIES:
Reconcile, analyze and correct general ledger accounts and/ or sub-ledgers
Actively participate in month-end and fiscal year end processes
Provide support in the training of accounting clerks
Provide support to teams and various internal departments on issues related to accounting

Verify, communicate and follow-up with external customers
Participate, in cooperation with the supervisor, in projects and in the development of new analysis
Creation, update supplier data base
Make daily payments
Creating and updating task procedures or new functions
Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma of Collegial Studies in Accounting (DCS), or Diploma of Vocational Studies in Accounting (DVS), or Attestation of Collegial Studies in Accounting (ACS)
Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in account reconciliations and analysis in Accounts Payable

Knowledge of Oracle and VIP systems an asset
Good knowledge of Excel and Word soft wares
Bilingualism, french and english
