About the Role:
Everest Insurance Company of Canada, a member of the Everest Group is seeking a motivated and energetic Claims Assistant to join our Toronto, Ontario office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pro-actively manage the general claims in box with a timely response to all enquiries.
- Prompt reply to phone enquiries
- Comply with the Everest claim response service requirement of a 24-hour turnaround time from email notification to assignment
- Managing and updating claim drive folders where applicable
- Maintaining and updating Claims Bordereaux
- Process payment requests, wire transfers and remittances to vendors and payees
- Support for miscellaneous daily administrative tasks as required
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- University Degree, College diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Direct experience in Insurance an asset
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to work effectively within a larger multinational environment
- Strong Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Superior oral and written communication skills
The base salary range for this position is CAD 43,000 - CAD 64,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
