AtkinsRéalis’s Minerals and Metals team in Canada is made up of more than 400 employees who work on large-scale projects to support mining sustainability, pit-to-port opportunities, metallurgical plant engineering, or mine closure and capabilities in the study, design, and construction of mining projects across a wide range of mining and processing methods and commodities. We are seeking a Prime Contract Administrator / Manager to join our Minerals and Metals team. to work and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to mining, mineral processing and the environmental management of mining operations. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement and Contracts Director NAM (North America). Our group carries out varied mandates related to mining, smelting, processing and environmental management of mining sites throughout North America. We regularly take up the challenge of designing innovative solutions adapted to each client and assisting them at all stages of the life of their mining operation, from exploration to closure.
This opportunity will be to support the M&M business located in any of the major cities of Canada: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton.
Your Role Within The Team
- Engage early in contract formation to establish post-contract relationships, administration frameworks, and performance requirements.
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) on all commercial and contractual matters between the client (CNL) and the supplier/contractor, providing authoritative advice to internal stakeholders on commercial issues, including claims for relief and minor disputes.
- Lead interpretation and application of prime contract terms and conditions, ensuring full compliance.
- Manage contract change control so changes are identified early, evaluated, negotiated, documented, and approved per contractual requirements.
- Monitor and verify with the contract team that technical and commercial conditions are met throughout contract execution.
- Lead preparation of performance reports (cost, schedule, quality, technical compliance) and conduct regular performance meetings as outlined in the contract.
- Advise project leadership on contractual risks, obligations, and mitigation strategies.

The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Contract Administration (or a closely related field).
- 10+ years in prime contract administration/management or commercial management on engineering or construction projects, including managing complex procurements with cross-functional stakeholders (legal, quality, and technical).
- Strong knowledge of contract law, terminology, strategies, pricing models, and risk management; proven ability to interpret/administer prime contract T&Cs, manage change control, and support claims/relief matters.
- Demonstrated relationship management, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities with clients, suppliers, and internal teams; bilingual (French and English) considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver in fast-paced, multi-project environments.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $122,500 - $168,400 annually) (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
