As part of this transformation, NSLC is embarking on a significant SAP modernization initiative and is seeking a Reporting & Analytics Business Process Owner (BPO) to help shape the future of enterprise reporting and analytics. This two-year term opportunity offers the chance to play a pivotal role in one of the organization’s most strategic transformation programs, ensuring data, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities are designed to support informed decision-making across the enterprise.
Reporting to the Director, Insights & Strategy, this role will serve as the primary business owner for reporting strategy, analytics alignment, and enterprise data definitions while partnering closely with business leaders, project teams, and technology stakeholders throughout the SAP implementation.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, analytics, and enterprise transformation. Acting as the business lead for reporting and analytics, you’ll help ensure the organization’s future reporting capabilities are intentional, standardized, scalable, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
Working collaboratively across Corporate Services, Customer Experience, Finance, Information Technology, Shopper Engagement, and People, Culture & Social Impact, you’ll translate business priorities into reporting requirements while helping guide the successful delivery of NSLC’s SAP Modernization Program.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Enterprise Reporting Strategy
Define and align enterprise reporting requirements with organizational priorities and transformation objectives. Develop and evolve NSLC’s Data & Insights practice framework. Establish reporting standards, governance, and data quality practices that support consistent decision-making across the organization. Define critical data elements, quality standards, and reporting controls to improve enterprise-wide data integrity.
Partner Across the Business
Serve as the primary liaison between business units and the SAP project team. Gather, document, validate, and prioritize reporting and analytics requirements from stakeholders across the organization. Build strong relationships that foster collaboration, transparency, and accountability throughout the program.
Support SAP Modernization
Participate in SAP design workshops and influence reporting and analytics decisions that support future-state business capabilities. Review and validate report and dashboard designs to ensure they meet operational and executive reporting needs. Shape reporting solutions that are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with enterprise analytics goals.
Ensure Reporting Readiness
Support reporting activities throughout system testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate KPI accuracy, report reconciliation, and reporting readiness prior to business sign-off. Coordinate reporting-related business approvals ahead of go-live.
Drive Business Adoption
Support organizational readiness and adoption of SAP reporting and analytics capabilities. Contribute to training materials, user guides, and playbooks. Support knowledge transfer to internal Data & Insights team members following implementation.
What We Are Looking For
Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Data Management, Information Management, or a related discipline. 5–8 years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, data management, ERP-enabled business roles, or related fields. Experience serving as a Business Process Owner, business lead, stream lead, or Subject Matter Expert on ERP implementations or other enterprise transformation initiatives. Demonstrated experience gathering and validating business requirements within complex, cross-functional organizations. Strong understanding of reporting, analytics, data governance, data quality, and reporting lifecycle concepts. Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud (preferred), SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies. Familiarity with ERP implementation methodologies and Business Process Owner responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills.
Assets Include
Knowledge of data governance and enterprise data management principles. Experience working within matrixed organizations or dual-reporting governance structures. Strong judgment with the ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues effectively. Experience supporting large-scale business transformation initiatives.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
