Azure Developer – ENTRA External IAM Migration (34640)
About the role
Our client in the insurance sector is seeking an Azure Developer with strong IAM migration experience , specifically migrating identity platforms from Salesforce IAM to Azure ENTRA External .
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring deep expertise in IAM technologies, cloud security, and migration strategy execution. The developer will collaborate with business, security, and IT stakeholders while designing and delivering a secure, scalable identity platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of the IAM platform from Salesforce IAM ? Azure ENTRA External
- Design and execute secure, scalable IAM architecture
- Integrate Azure ENTRA External with applications, systems, and third-party services
- Implement best practices for identity governance, MFA, conditional access, and access control
- Collaborate with business/security/IT teams on requirements and progress updates
- Troubleshoot complex IAM issues throughout the migration
- Maintain technical documentation (architecture, configurations, processes)
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Azure ENTRA External, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Conditional Access, Identity Governance
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce IAM and its integration points
- Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Proven IAM migration experience — ideally Salesforce ? Azure
- Familiarity with Zero Trust, RBAC, and cloud security best practices
- Strong communication and ability to manage project timelines
