About the Role:

As a Pool Service Technician based in Canada, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and optimal operation of residential swimming pools. Your primary objective will be to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide expert advice to clients on pool care and chemical balance. This position requires a strong understanding of pool systems, water chemistry, and mechanical components to deliver high-quality service that meets industry standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing repairs, and maintaining detailed service records to support customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, your work will contribute to creating safe and enjoyable aquatic environments for clients throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in pool and spa maintenance or water treatment (e.g., CPO certification).
  • Experience with automated pool control systems and advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Previous experience working as a pool service technician or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations related to pool operation.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular pool maintenance including cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and debris removal to maintain water clarity and hygiene.
  • Test and adjust pool water chemistry by measuring pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels to ensure safe and balanced water conditions.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automated systems to maintain efficient operation.
  • Provide clients with expert guidance on pool care best practices, equipment usage, and seasonal preparation to enhance pool longevity and performance.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, inventory of supplies, and report any significant issues or recommendations to management promptly.
