Inpho is a fast-growing startup, focused on developing cutting-edge optoelectronic solutions for next-generation communications, and photonic systems. Our multidisciplinary team is pushing the boundaries of innovation in integrated photonics and semiconductor packaging. Inpho’s new class of electro-photonic chips is poised to revolutionize and disrupt the optical interconnect market. Utilizing this new class of chips enables existing optical interconnect systems to be built at much lower cost; new architectures to be deployed that provide significantly higher price/performance; and a whole new generation of higher speed interconnect to be built that to date have been impossible.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness matter.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong follow-up. Record AP transactions, bank entries, and credit card entries. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare quarterly HST remittances. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Support year-end audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for tax filing. Contribute to ad hoc finance projects, including ERP implementation and process improvements. Partner with internal teams to help maintain organized, accurate, and efficient financial records.
Qualifications
University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable and month-end close; AR experience is an asset. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative. Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, or similar systems. Proficiency in Excel. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
