The Opportunity
Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain experience and grow in the field of finance? As we continue with our aggressive growth strategy, we are seeking a Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this will be a part-time position, Monday-Friday, at our SE Edmonton office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ad hoc financial and data analysis as requested.
- Assist with account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Support year-end closing activities, including data validation and report preparation.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support management insights.
- Organize and maintain financial records and analysis files for easy reference.
- Collaborate with team members to improve reporting processes and data accuracy.
- Assist in Procore System Management
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics (preferred).
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Availability to start immediately
