Our employees are passionate experts in all of our business areas. They are fanatical about creating outstanding content and experiences, and about delivering them on new and evolving platforms. We actively seek new employees who embody our core values. We want them to think big, act with purpose, celebrate creativity, do the right thing, respect one another, and succeed together. We attract creative talents who are optimistic about the evolving future of content and who take pride in recognizing opportunities where others see challenges. At Blue Ant Media, we give them the flexibility to think like entrepreneurs, take ownership of their projects, take risks, and embrace innovation in a rapidly evolving media landscape. Our team members excel at collaborating with internal and external partners by building trusting, respectful working relationships.

Digital Video Producer/Editor

We are looking for a platform-native Digital Video Producer/Editor to join our creative team and help define the future of our social storytelling.

Your mission is to transform long-form library content into high-performing, social-first creative for our global brands. Bridging the gap between cinematic storytelling and performance marketing, you will move beyond traditional TV promos to focus on building "ad-first" content designed to stop the scroll, spark curiosity, and convert viewers into subscribers and fans.

As a specialist in this space, you will also establish the visual benchmarks and tactical 'plays' that steer our global brands toward greater social success, setting a new standard for our broader creative team.

This role will report to the Creative Manager, Global Channels & Streaming and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ad-First Execution: Rapidly produce high-impact paid and organic social creative for a diverse portfolio, shifting styles seamlessly from "prestige history" to "vibrant wildlife."
  • The 3-Second Rule: Master the art of the "hook." You’ll transform long-form library content into thumb-stopping social assets for Meta, TikTok, and Google/YouTube.
  • Data-Driven Iteration: Collaborate with the Marketing team to review weekly performance. You’ll lean into the data to rapidly version winning ads with new hooks, music, and captions.
  • Standard Setting: Develop repeatable workflows, templates, and text-overlay styles that improve efficiency and elevate the social output across the wider creative team.
  • AI-Enhanced Workflow: Embrace and implement AI tools to automate the "manual" parts of editing (captioning, resizing, versioning) so you can focus on the creative strategy.

Qualifications

You have…

  • 3–5 years of experience producing creative specifically for paid and/or organic social channels and a clear understanding of platform trends and "native" aesthetics.
  • Proven versatility editing for different brand voices.
  • A “performance” mindset that embraces testing and data-driven creative iterations.
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

You are…

  • Curious and intuitive, with a natural pulse on what’s trending in social media.
  • Able to thrive in a “test and learn” environment where priorities shift based on performance data.
  • A collaborative team player who views their edits as a starting point for optimization rather than a final, static product.
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail for managing a high volume of assets across multiple brands, without losing track of naming conventions and platform specs.

At Blue Ant Media, we believe promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion is everyone's responsibility. We can all contribute. As a global media company, we recognize our platform and opportunity to influence change and promote a more inclusive world. We know what we create, distribute, and produce is better with a diverse workforce. In recruiting for our teams, we encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds (who are eligible to work in Canada) and welcome the unique contributions each person brings.

While we may use digital tools to support the efficiency of our recruitment process, we do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to screen, assess or select candidates. Applications are personally reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition team or one of the hiring leaders, ensuring a fair and human-centered experience for all applicants.

If you have most of the qualifications listed in our posting, but are not sure whether to proceed with your application, we still encourage you to apply.
