Executive Director, Outreach & Training
About the role
Executive Director, Outreach & Training
Fraser Academy | Centre for Dyslexia
Fraser Academy (FA) is a North American leader in dyslexia education with over 40 years of success in strong student outcomes, including a 95%+ post-secondary acceptance rate. Building on this legacy, FA is establishing Canada’s first Centre for Dyslexia, a national hub designed to bridge the gap between accessible intervention and system change. The Centre serves as a driving force providing evidence-based supports while breaking down the barriers facing the 1 in 5 people with dyslexia, transforming a perceived deficit into a “dyslexic thinking” superpower.
Through four pillars—Teacher Training, Early Screening & Intervention, Outreach, and a Knowledge Hub—the Centre aims to disrupt the status quo and also mitigate social systemic risks like mental health challenges and poverty linked to unsupported learning differences.
**The Mandate:**Lead the next phase of growth by expanding proven programs (branded "FAx" - Fraser Academy’s Outreach & Training Centre) and transition these to a high-impact national brand. As the Executive Director (ED), you will be more than a leader in dyslexia education; you will act as a chief sales officer, responsible for scaling a profitable, mission-driven enterprise that has already impacted thousands of learners and the ability to change so many more lives.
Key Priorities (2026–2031) include:
-**Operationalize the Centre:**transition current programs; bring new brand to life. -**Scale for Impact:**refine the business model for revenue optimization and scalability. -**Accreditation:**launch an accredited post-secondary diploma program by 2028/29.
**The Ideal Candidate:**We are seeking a community catalyst to join us in Vancouver, B.C.—consistently rated one of the world's most liveable cities. You will align with four specific leadership archetypes:
-**The Expert:**deeply grounded in the Science of Reading and structured literacy. -**The Entrepreneur:**a proven track record of managing a significant P&L centre where profit drives scalability. -**The Closer:**a relationship manager who can navigate a sales funnel to secure "closed-won" agreements. -**The Visionary:**able to articulate the ROI of educational intervention to the community.
**Compensation & Engagement:**The expected salary range for this position is $145,000 to $160,000 (depending on experience) plus performance bonus, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Download the full Position Specification here.
**Application Deadline:**April 30, 2026.
