Registered Clinical Counsellor - Lifemark Health Group
-**Location:**Lifemark 64th Avenue, Langley, BC
- Hybrid team environment is available
- In-person preferred on Tuesday and Friday
- 30 hours/week (Full Time)
- Compensation models include hourly ($36.00-$61.00/hr) and Fee for Service split.

In this role, you will partner with an interdisciplinary team to support clients via specialty programs such as the WorkSafeBC Customized Recovery and Return-to-Work Program.

Lifemark 64th Avenue is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center providing a full rehabilitation gym as well as private treatment rooms for physiotherapy, massage therapy, kinesiology, active rehabilitation, occupational therapy, mental health counselling, amputee rehabilitation, occupational health services, and other treatments.
We are conveniently located between Highway 1 and the Langley Bypass in the Heart of the Langley Township.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services to clients referred by WorkSafeBC (Customized Recovery and RTW), privately, and by various insurance companies or other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
- Adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
Licensing:
- Clinical Counsellors must have a Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology and be registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors
Experience
- More than 2 years of experience with Return-to-Work is highly desired.
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome and PTSD are preferred.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
