About the role
Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking to hire a Surveyor for Rail & System construction project. Surveyors make precise measurements to provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of structures and rails for construction and other purposes. Your role
- Maintain and verify provided control network.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Lay-out critical track alignment & structures and as-built track with Trolley system & Total station (Leica) and verify the accuracy of the data.
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions and other characteristics of structures and rails.
- Interact with project Engineers and project coordinators and survey team to provide on-time information, and solve problems to site-related issues.
- Maintain accurate Survey records, documentation.
About You

Post-secondary education in Surveying or Geomatics
-
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction surveying industry

Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office, data, surveying and engineering based software

Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skill
-
GPS, Rail Survey instruments and total station experience required
-
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
-
Ability to lift 50lbs
-
Driver's license (Class G).

Working Conditions:
-
Working mostly outdoors in the elements including inclement weather conditions.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Working within tight deadlines.

Additional information
Expected compensation for this role is between $71,500 - $98,300 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
