#About the Role
The Department of Education invites applications for contract instructors starting in the Fall 2026 semester. The Department of Education currently offers a four-year Bachelor of Education - Elementary Degree.
We are seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following course(s):
###EDUC 3106 - Program of Studies and Curriculum Instruction in Teaching Science

EDUC 3106 - 001 Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 - 11:20 a.m.

EDUC 3106 - 002 Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 - 11:20 a.m.

EDUC 3106 - 003 Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 - 3:50 p.m.
##Responsibilities
The Department of Education invites applications for a contract instructor position in the Program of Studies and Curriculum Instruction in Teaching Science, which will commence on September 1, 2026. This course is offered in a condensed model and breaks at the end of October to offer students a five-week practicum experience. The course resumes in the first week of December until December 22nd, 2026. Instructors must be available for the entire semester from September 2nd to December 22nd. The ability to supervise practicum and teach courses in the program will be considered an asset. This course is integrated with Teaching Mathematics, Current and Emerging Technology, and Teaching Art courses as part of a STEAM model and will require collaborative teaching and assessment.

The instructor should be flexible to accommodate field studies. Participants are expected to participate in an overnight immersive field study.
##Qualifications
Qualifications include a Master's degree in Education, with a Ph.D. preferred, experience teaching in the K–12 system, with K-6 preferred, expertise in Science, and relevant undergraduate teaching and/or professional experience.
The successful candidate will be required to provide the University with academic transcripts from degree-granting institutions. If the requirements are not completed, employment contracts will be rescinded.
