About the role

Working independently to enter data received into the database and handle inquiries placed to and received from internal and external partners. The TPP Data Entry Clerk will also perform various clerical duties in support of the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance and verification of accurate and up to date records
  • Enter tracked prescriptions into prescription database
  • Review and interpret written tracked prescriptions; including drug calculations in compound prescriptions, verification, and follow up on incomplete prescriptions or errors in dispensing
  • Open, sort, and batch daily mail
  • Audit to ensure data integrity
  • Manage incoming requests and inquiries through various forms of communications, including requests for tracked prescription pad orders, record lost/stolen pads, and provide general information
  • Participate in group meetings and contribute towards achieving program key performance indicators.
  • Correspond with partners through email and telephone inquiries.
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

  • High school diploma

Experience:

  • 1 year of related experience

Skills:

  • Ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
  • Speed and accuracy of data entry
  • Ability to work independently
  • Developed communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Mathematical ability to calculate quantities using percentages, ratios, etc.

SALARY
The salary for this position is $42,264 and includes a comprehensive benefit package and pension plan.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
