About the role
PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The Design Requirements & Compliance Manager will be responsible to identify, track and manage changes in the design requirements. Coordinating with the Sub-program lead and Initiating the change management process with the Commercial Team.
The Design Requirements & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all design deliverables and activities within the project comply with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, airport authority specifications, and applicable codes. This role acts as the primary interface between design teams, construction team (sub-program), regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and quality assurance, ensuring that all designs align with project scope, client expectations, and statutory obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and track the changes or potential changes in the Technical Requirements coordinating with sub-program lead. Track and manage design deviations or variance.

Ensure all design submittals adhere to regulatory, statutory, and project-specific requirements.

Initiate the Change Management Process with Commercial Team so that they will process the notifications to owner, estimating and submission of the Change Order Request

Manage the RFI process to clarify the design requirements and identify the potential changes

Track the decision-making process in the various meetings with GTAA and Designer to identify the changes in requirements

Develop and maintain a Design Requirements Compliance Matrix (DRCM)

Coordinate with the Sub-Program Teams (leading the Design Change Coordinators in each Sub-program) for specific details

Coordinate with the Design Manager to obtain the necessary information from DJV

Coordinate with the Stakeholders for any changes in Technical Requirement

Utilize the Software (JAMA) to track the changes in the Technical Requirements

Ensure that all design works meet project-level safety, operational, and environmental requirements.
WORK CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular visits to the site offices as required. This position is 5 days per week with core hours of work between approximately 8:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour Lunch or as agreed upon with your manager.
All employees must complete a RAIC and Criminal background check.

Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Autodesk Construction Cloud, JAMA etc)
