Agilus is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant - Contract in the Construction Industry in Saanichton, British Columbia. Agilus is recruiting for an Office Assistant to support a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys staying organized, and is comfortable juggling administrative tasks, event coordination, and occasional errands. If you're tech-savvy, proactive, and ready to be the go-to person in a busy office, we want to hear from you!
A Typical Day
- Perform reception duties and greet visitors
- Maintain office cleanliness and common areas
- Coordinate vehicle/trailer maintenance and documentation
- Run errands using company vehicle (e.g., picking up supplies)
- Assist with staff events and internal travel bookings
- Manage incoming/outgoing packages and product returns
- Update spreadsheets and support purchasing/accounting tasks
- rovide photos to the social media team and assist with ad-hoc tasks
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Steel-toed boots for occasional factory visits
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English - both written and verbal
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 20–50 lbs occasionally)
- Previous administrative experience
Total Rewards
- $21.00 hourly
- Starting wage: ~$21/hour (temp), increasing to $23–$25/hour (permanent, based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Company vehicle available for errands
- Opportunity to transition to a permanent role
- Supportive team environment
- Sit-stand desk provided
- Exposure to a well-established manufacturing operation
- Hands-on experience in office operations and event planning
