HDR is seeking a Waste/Remediation Project Manager with 7 or more years of experience. The successful candidate will be based in HDR’s Vancouver office. This individual will support our ongoing and projected resources project workload including solid waste, waste-to-energy, and environmental remediation projects for a wide array of clients. Project management and technical project execution experience at some or all of these types of projects is desired. The primary duties of this position will project and technical task management, depending on the clients technical expertise, for a wide array of waste, remediation, and mining projects in Western Canada and potentially other regions.
In the role of Waste/Remediation Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

Manage waste, remediation, and mine closure/reclamation projects or large, complex tasks for Provincial, Indigenous, and private clients as work opportunities demand.

Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
-
Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
-
Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
-
Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
-
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
-
Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
-
Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
-
Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews

Implement QA/QC procedures

Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
-
Masters degree in civil or environmental engineering or closely related discipline

7 years of experience in environmental remediation and waste related projects with a focus on environmental site investigations and engineering

Knowledge of environmental regulations throughout Western Canada
-
Requires ability to travel

Candidates currently residing in Vancouver are preferred
-
Experience supporting mine closure and reclamation projects
