THE OPPORTUNITY

Do you have experience with the investment management system Simcorp Dimension ? Are you seeking an opportunity to work on a variety of shorter-term projects that allow you to work directly with our asset classes in bringing new instruments to support our investment strategies?

WHAT WILL YOU DO

BCI is evaluating other pieces of our business and our stable of applications is still growing. The BSA will work on multitude of shorter-term projects that involve bringing on new instruments to support investment strategies – such as: Private Debt, Fixed Income Attribution, Investment Performance, Leverage Bond Fund.

In order to deliver, our BSA will:

  • Elicit and capture business requirements and non-functional requirements through facilitating meetings, conducting workshops, conducting interviews and reviewing existing processes
  • Collaborate with team members, other IT teams and customers to understand the objectives, needs and issues of assigned customer area(s)
  • Validate business and non-functional requirements and ensures they meet desired outcomes
  • Perform user research, analyzes user needs and aligns results with the desired outcomes
  • Develop unambiguous and compelling user stories and clear user acceptance criteria
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes and mock-ups
  • Apply knowledge of Agile methods and participates in team activities, ceremonies and efforts to continuously improve processes including backlog development or grooming, sprint planning and team retrospectives
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and proposes solutions to remove barriers
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and provides support, ad hoc training, and guidance to users and others to increase adoption of Agile methods
  • Ensure business engineering artifacts are accurate, accessible, maintained and communicated to stakeholders as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

Solid working knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and comfortable training up and sharing knowledge of this expertise area:

  • In depth SimCorp Dimension configuration experience with instruments, transactions, pricing, DEX, DFS, formulas, Auxiliary Jobs, STP, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PowerShell or Python scripting
  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension Performance Manager, Reconciliation Manager, Data Warehouse Manager and Fund Accounting is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of and previous work in the investment management industry
  • Excellent customer-service, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with change management principles and practices relating to IT transformations

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Business Solutions Analyst II:

  • Responsible for business solutions analysis and contributes to projects with a mid-to-high level of complexity and stakeholder engagement, typically acquired through 5+ years of experience. Works independently and has an experienced level of competency within the role.

Business Solutions Analyst III:

  • Responsible for business solutions analysis and leads projects with a high level of
  • complexity and stakeholder engagement, typically acquired through 8+ years of experience. Works independently, provides guidance and training to others, and has an advanced level of competency within the role.

SALARY RANGE

BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.

The annualized base salary range for this BSA II Vancouver or Victoria-based role is CAD $105,000 to $125,000.

The annualized base salary range for this BSA III Vancouver or Victoria-based role is CAD $125,000 to $145,000.

The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.

We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
