Operations Department Onsite Full Time, Permanent Level 2 Requisition Number: OPS-2025-006 Covenant House helps youth ignite their potential and reclaim their lives. As Canada’s largest agency serving youth who are homeless, trafficked or at risk, we offer the widest range of services to hundreds of young people every day.

We offer 24/7 crisis shelter transitional housing options on-site and, in the community, health and well-being support, training and skill development, and ongoing care once youth move into the community.
For over 40 years, Covenant House has been dedicated to its mission of serving youth on the street and to protect and safeguard all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love. Since 1982, Covenant House has supported more than 100,000 young people.
Overview: In this position the candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of the common areas, washrooms, offices and other areas within the organization.
We are currently recruiting for 1 Full-time, Permanent Warehouse Associate. This is a replacement position within the organization. Responsibilities:
- Distribute inventory and products across the agency
- Fill warehouse orders
- Label boxes to identify products
- Load and unload trucks for transporting products
- Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard
- Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
- Package items and label correctly
- Inspect expiration dates of products and apply first in first out practices
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
- Stack and organize large bulk items
- Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
- Wear safety gear at all times (steel toe boots)
- Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
- Work as an active team member to complete team goals
- Prepare documentation and inventory for audits
- All other duties as required
Qualifications
- Applicants should have a Grade 12 education and/or ability to read, write and communicate clearly with others.
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently
- Ability to work well with others
- Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory
- Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
- Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by Covenant House Toronto
