Business Overview The Architecture team is tasked with delivering technology solutions that correspond with our divisional strategy. Furthermore, the team directs the development of Fidelity Investments Canada’s technology vision and strategy. This involves investigating a broad spectrum of technologies and business focus areas including AI, data warehouse, data integration, master data, big data, cloud services, data governance and quality, security, and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do The Senior Technical Architect role contributes to setting and advancing data standards, models, and technical solutions. This includes active engagement in important business and IS initiatives to make sure solutions are structured and consistent with the Canada data strategy and technology directions.
- Assigned projects align with Enterprise direction and Technology roadmaps
- Effective collaboration alongside development groups throughout the entire development cycle
- Identify knowledge gaps and conduct/coordinate/recommend training sessions on new technologies
- Build “trusted advisor” relationships with development teams and the business
- Ensure all architecture documents are complete in accordance with established methodologies
- Identify and promote technologies that improve business processes or contribute to new business opportunities
- Lead in the development and implementation of core infrastructure components for IS systems
- Follow defined processes for software development, integration, and deployment
- Actively participate in peer reviews and ensure all developed code follows the peer review process
- Active involvement in long-term planning to ensure Fidelity Canada’s enterprise IT landscape is well positioned to deliver solutions that meet current and future business needs
What We’re Looking For
- Completed a University Degree or possess equivalent work experience
- Experience leading architectural builds with GenAI into enterprise systems
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams for GenAI/LLM integration, AI-enabled automation and analytics, and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps)
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Technical Architect
- Experience working with Adobe Marketing Technology stack (Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, etc).
- Skilled in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), hybrid systems, and protocols related to data governance and security
- Experience with Snowflake is preferred
- Experience in the financial sector is an asset
- Experience working with architecture enterprise management platforms (LeanIX preferred)

- Strong systems analysis techniques and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive understanding of application systems architecture, current and emerging
- Extensive knowledge of programming languages, object-oriented development, and operating systems
- Solid understanding of Internet security and associated technologies
- Good understanding of financial sector, mutual fund business processes, data flows and systems
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident and engaging presentation abilities
- Demonstrates exceptional coaching and mentoring skills to support team growth and development

For this role, your total rewards include
- Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus A competitive annual range of $158,000 to $170,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
- RRSP Contribution After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
