Job description and tasks
In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College

Participation in departmental meetings
-
Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.

Performing other department related administrative duties
Required Qualifications
University Degree in Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, or related disciplines.
Demonstrable expertise* in the following four areas:
- Interactive Media
- Creativity Theory and Application
- Systems Thinking / Complex Adaptive Systems
- Scripting and Computational Principles
In addition, demonstrable expertise* in three or more of the following five areas:

Interactive Art / Cyberart

Physical Computing / Tangible Media

Interactive Video, Music and/or Sound Art
-
Game Design
-
Web Design
-
Expertise can be demonstrated by a combination of:
-
conferred academic credentials (degrees, diplomas, certificates, university coursework)
-
teaching experience
-
professional experience
-
published work and/or research, artistic practice or performance
Excellent English communication skills
Assets:

Teaching experience at the College level an asset
-
Activity or design-based teaching experience an asset
-
Team-teaching experience an asset
-
General knowledge of French is an asset.

Dawson College is an English-language Collège d’enseignement général et professionnel (CEGEP) located in Westmount, Quebec. It is situated near the heart of downtown Montreal in a former nunnery on approximately 12 acres of green space. It is the largest CEGEP in the province of Quebec, with a student population of approximately 8,000 day students and 3,000 evening students enrolled in more than 30 fields of study.
