Role Description This is a remote Research Geologist role focused on supporting Notre-Dame Capital’s precious metals initiatives. The Research Geologist will conduct geological research related to gold and silver deposits, synthesize academic and industry data, and prepare concise reports, maps, and presentations for internal decision-makers. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing exploration and drilling data, assessing geological models, evaluating project potential, and collaborating with technical and investment teams to inform asset selection and risk assessments. The role also involves monitoring global exploration trends, regulatory developments, and technological advances relevant to precious metals and resource tokenization. The successful candidate will work independently, communicate findings clearly, and adhere to project deadlines in a distributed, cross-functional environment. Qualifications
Strong field-based skills, including Field Work and Geological Mapping, to understand and interpret mineralized systems. Experience with core and sample Logging and related documentation for gold and silver projects or similar commodities. Working knowledge of Geophysics as applied to mineral exploration and interpretation of geophysical survey data. Familiarity with Drilling programs, including planning, sampling protocols, and basic QA/QC considerations. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field; advanced degree is an asset. Proficiency with geological modeling, GIS, and standard industry software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, ArcGIS, or equivalents). Ability to analyze technical reports (NI 43-101 or equivalent), academic literature, and exploration data and summarize key insights for non-technical audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to accuracy, clarity, and data integrity. Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fully remote setting. Interest in precious metals markets, resource finance, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and asset tokenization is highly desirable.
