Could you be the full-time Maintenance Team Leader in Willowbrook we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dedicated team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our commuter coaches and locomotives are ready to provide reliable, safe, and efficient service. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians), plan and organize work schedules, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within maintenance guidelines.

You’ll specifically take care of assigning staff to trip, brake tests, and servicing equipment for revenue train service, but also oversee the timely repair and maintenance processes.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Reviewing workloads and assigning appropriate staff to complete repairs, maintenance, and inspections in a timely fashion
  • Monitoring equipment servicing and repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks
  • Ensuring appropriate materials are on-site to expedite repairs
  • Planning work schedules and assignments to ensure compliance with maintenance guidelines
  • Monitoring work order completion using Maximo and managing employee timekeeping using Kronos
  • Leading and supporting your team to achieve operational excellence

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Post-secondary education preferred, but a minimum of Grade 12 is required
  • Experience or understanding of managing maintenance teams
  • Knowledge of commuter coach and locomotive repair and maintenance processes
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems such as Maximo and timekeeping systems like Kronos
  • A completed apprenticeship is an asset
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Things you’ll enjoyJoin us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with innovative maintenance and operational standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues
  • Contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of mobility
  • Utilise our inclusive and dynamic working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs
  • Progress towards leadership or specialized technical roles
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

This role offers a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
