Under the responsibility of the Risk Manager within the APEX department, you will be in charge of risk modeling with the aim of supporting risk standardization and facilitating decision-making during the bidding, development, and execution phases. Your objective will be to deliver the best quantitative risk analyses related to project costs and scheduling
What You Will Do
-
Model risks through quantitative risk analysis related to costs and schedule risk analysis for the bidding, development, and execution phases;
-
Participate in quantitative risk analysis to enrich the risk register and support risk assessments;
-
Assist the Risk Manager in implementing standardized processes for quantification activities, contingency control, and cost and schedule risk analysis;
-
Facilitate the integration of schedule and cost data by working closely with project managers, estimators, and planners;
-
Collaborate with the Risk Specialist on project risk models to determine the project’s risk exposure profile and help establish contingencies based on confidence levels;
-
Provide reports on risk model results and communicate them to the estimating team for inclusion in the project cost breakdown structure;
-
Prepare and support Gating reviews with senior management using risk data results to ensure visibility of project risk exposure;
-
Support simulations for specific use cases, such as supplier selection or construction method scenarios, to bring certainty to decision-making;
-
Manage the lessons-learned library within the risk management tool for recurring schedule uncertainties and risks to enable quick analysis.
This Role Is for You If You Have
Required Qualifications:
-
Education: A master’s degree in business administration, commerce, management, information management, or a related discipline is required;
-
Experience: At least one (1) year of relevant experience in risk analysis and/or modeling. Two (2) years of experience in project management and planning. Experience in construction and civil engineering projects is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills:
-
Excellent command of French (spoken and written);
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
-
Excellent organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and political acumen;
-
Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6;
-
Proficiency in @Risk, Acumen, Safran Risk, or other risk management software for analysis;
-
Strong adaptability;
-
Sound judgment and ability to anticipate needs and requirements;
-
Detail-oriented;
-
Proven management skills in complex project environments.
