WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? Management And Regulatory Reporting
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly variance analysis for executive-level reporting packages (iMBR, MBR, WMBR, Flash).
- Compile and submit regulatory filings in accordance with OSFI and Bank of Canada standards, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance.
- Maintain readiness of regulatory returns for management review, meeting all government agency deadlines.
Financial Governance & Controls
- Strengthen internal controls across financial and regulatory reporting processes.
- Prepare reconciliations, journal adjustments, and consolidation entries to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and control.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with key departments to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency in financial reporting.
- Support finance-led initiatives and projects, embedding robust controls and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
Who Are We Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA Designation (or equivalent) or working towards it, is required
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial, management or regulatory reporting, ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
- Ability to deliver accurate and timely results in a fast-paced, concurrent-deadline environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid command of MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity to engage across all levels of the organization.
- Alteryx and Power BI knowledge is a strong asset.
