We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic and Motion Designer to support the development of visual materials for an ongoing design project. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in both static graphic design and short-form motion design.
This role involves creating engaging posters, informational visuals, and animated video clips for a website. The designer will work closely with our project team to translate concepts into compelling visual content that enhances user engagement and communicates key project messages.
- Design and develop posters and information graphics for digital and print use
- Create short, animated clips (motion graphics, infographics, and storytelling videos) for use on websites and digital platforms
- Collaborate on visual storytelling strategies for design-based research and outreach
- Ensure visual consistency across materials, maintaining alignment with branding and accessibility standards
- Work with the team to ideate and design assets related to UI elements, website content, and user flow (UI knowledge is a plus)
- Participate in team meetings as needed to review progress and incorporate feedback
Position Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Experience creating motion graphics and short animated videos
- Solid understanding of graphic design principles, typography, and layout
- Ability to create informational posters and design for both print and digital media Experience with basic UI/UX design is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As Per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
