The opportunity of Principal Cost Controller acts as an expert in budgetary monitoring on a broad scope within a large-scale project. Plays a key role in developing financial forecasts, analyzing variances and optimizing control tools. In support of the Manager, it may be required to supervise junior and intermediate cost controllers and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data transmitted to the project management.

What you will do :

  • Be responsible for the dissemination, explanation and monitoring of good compliance with the Consortium’s Management Methods.

  • Maintain constant liaison with the Works, Procurement and Accounting teams to ensure that expenses are properly allocated and thus ensure consistent management;

  • Prepare the budget summary for its scope. Ensures consistency of budgetary data and assumptions.

  • Ensure the reliability of operating results by analysing in particular the amounts to be spent, the quantities implemented, the key ratios and their evolution. Changes in billing differences; operating disputes; equipment; unsettled orders; staff and hourly staff scores; accrued expenses.

  • Ensure the proper management of the entity by analysing in particular the monthly financial report; the general expenses of the entity (monitoring of staff, operating costs); taking into account of possible social risks, and environmental; compliance with the framework contracts negotiated by the Purchasing Department; the various discrepancy accounts (material, personnel...).

  • Through the controls mentioned above, has a role of vigilance with the Administrative and Financial Director of the Consortium and the Project Management in general.

  • Respond to requests for analyses and summaries from the Project Management in the field of management control.

  • Participate in the management of skills of all teams and lead training on essential points of management and use of information systems.

  • Work with project managers to establish and enter budgets into the system.
