Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Solutions Architect role based in Toronto, ON. The Associate Solutions Architect partners with customers to design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures using AWS services. The role involves understanding customer business and technical requirements, proposing solution designs, and assisting in proof-of-concept implementations. Day-to-day activities include delivering technical guidance, creating reference architectures and documentation, collaborating with internal teams such as sales and product, and participating in customer meetings and presentations. The individual in this role is expected to learn and apply AWS best practices, stay current with new services, and support customers in modernizing applications and optimizing their cloud environments. Qualifications Ability to apply Solution Architecture skills to design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based systems. Consulting capabilities to gather requirements, communicate technical concepts clearly, and build trusted relationships with customers. Foundational Software Development skills to understand application architectures, APIs, and modern development practices. Integration experience to connect diverse systems, services, and data sources within cloud and hybrid environments. Understanding of Business Process design and optimization to align technical solutions with customer business outcomes. Knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases) and basic cloud security and reliability principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation and deliver presentations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Exposure to DevOps practices, containerization, or infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform) is beneficial.
