About the role
Job Overview: We are seeking reliable and skilled Equipment Operators with experience operating trucks and tractor-trailers to support our busy shiploading season. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities: Operate tandem trucks, tractor-trailers, and related equipment safely and efficiently Transport materials to and from loading areas, ensuring timely delivery for shiploading operations Assist with loading and unloading of materials as required Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment Maintain accurate logs and documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members Follow all company safety policies and procedures Support general site operations as needed during peak periods Qualifications: Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required) Proven experience operating trucks and tractor-trailers Clean driver’s abstract Strong understanding of equipment safety and maintenance practices Strong teamwork and communication skills Assets (Not Required but Preferred): Previous experience in equipment operation. Equipment operation certifications Mechanical aptitude What We Offer: Competitive salary: $130,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience.
