Some of what you will do
This role defines a Senior QA Engineer position responsible for ensuring the
quality, reliability, and performance of an eCommerce platform through a combination of manual and automated testing practices.
Specifically, You Will
-
Identify quality gaps and implement preventive testing strategies to minimize future defects.
-
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, story grooming, and retrospectives.
-
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on test automation, quality metrics, and test coverage.
-
Enhance operational efficiency by optimizing QA processes and practices.
-
Mentor junior QA team members and promote quality engineering best practices across delivery teams.
Some of what you need
-
5+ years of Quality Assurance experience supporting eCommerce or customer-facing digital platforms.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright test automation frameworks.
-
Experience with API testing and validation.
-
Experience using Jira and Xray for test management, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
-
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies.
-
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
-
Proficiency with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
-
Familiarity with Git, source control practices, and modern DevOps workflows.
-
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Physical demands/working conditions
Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the
hybrid policy.
