About the role
At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. Those in international tax at PwC will provide advice and guidance to clients on structuring their global tax positions. Your work will involve analysing international tax laws and regulations to develop strategies that optimise tax efficiency and minimise risks for multinational businesses.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Corporate Tax Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparing and reviewing computations related to Canadian corporate tax filings

Supporting assurance group with review and audit of tax provision and financial statement disclosures

Advise Canadian companies with international business or foreign companies with business in Canada
-
Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas

Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
-
Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
-
Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends
-
Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance

Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
-
Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct and contributing to a collaborative work environment which emphasizes people and technology
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

Prior experience in a professional services firm or in industry providing tax consulting, accounting and/or compliance expertise

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
-
Basic technical tax knowledge and research capabilities and willingness to learn

Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service focused on helping clients solve their issues

Demonstrated ability to identify tax consulting opportunities and a willingness to effectively market services to existing and prospective clients

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
