About the role

Are you the type of person who enjoys being on the floor, keeping operations running smoothly, and quickly finding solutions when challenges arise? We are currently seeking a Shop Floor Supervisor to join a well-established company specializing in the manufacturing of custom commercial furniture.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating operations, motivating teams, and ensuring projects move forward efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. You will play a key role in the smooth operation of the workshop by overseeing production planning, priority management, and employee support.

Responsibilities Include

-       Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cabinetmakers, assemblers, and machine operators.

-       Plan production priorities to meet project deadlines.

-       Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

-       Efficiently allocate materials, equipment, and resources according to production requirements.

-       Train and support employees to encourage their development and autonomy.

-       Ensure equipment operates properly and coordinate maintenance requirements.

-       Monitor inventories of raw materials and production supplies.

-       Enforce health and safety standards and procedures.

-       Quickly resolve issues related to production, quality, or work organization.

-       Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in project execution.

-       Participate in the continuous improvement of work methods and manufacturing processes.

-       Track project progress and operational performance.

-       Maintain a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.

-       Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

-       Significant experience in cabinetmaking, commercial furniture manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing environment.

-       Experience supervising or coordinating production teams.

-       Strong planning and priority management skills.

-       Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop operations.

-       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

-       Strong leadership and communication skills.

-       Excellent problem-solving abilities.

-       Strong commitment to quality, productivity, and meeting deadlines.

-       Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.

-       Valid driver's licence.

-       Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Salary: $30 to $35 per hour.

Schedule: Day shift, 40 hours per week.

Status: Permanent.
