About the role

Lead Software Engineer Release & deployment

Primary Skills Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).

Experience in change management and incident management processes (e.g., ITIL framework).

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Secondary Skills

Release management certification or project management certification (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Certified ScrumMaster).

Experience in enterprise-level applications or regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Plan and manage software releases from development to production across multiple projects and environments.

Develop and maintain detailed release calendars, plans, and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.

Coordinate with development, QA, operations, and business teams to ensure release readiness and post-release support.

Identify and manage risks and dependencies affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.

Oversee build and deployment processes, ensuring standardization, automation, and version control.

Conduct and lead release readiness reviews, milestone meetings, and deployment planning meetings.

Maintain documentation of release artifacts, including release notes, change requests, sign-offs, and rollback procedures.

Monitor post-release results, ensuring quick resolution of issues and continuous improvement of release processes.

Enforce compliance with change management policies and ITIL best practices.

Collaborate with DevOps or CI CD engineers to streamline release pipelines and improve deployment automation.
