Position: Medical Informatics Advisor
Department: Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Site: Oakville
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Hours: Monday - Friday days; 8 hour shifts; 0830-1630 (subject to change based on operational needs)
Responsibilities:
The Medical Informatics Advisor will act as a practice liaison for ICT (Information & Communications Technology) related initiatives through collaboration with every type of Provider. Some of this work will include mapping out and evaluating processes and workflows, identifying the clinical needs related to ICT initiatives and establishing relationships with Provider teams to ensure collaboration with ICT. The Medical Informatics Advisor must have the ability to organize and conduct user training, prepare/update training and reference manuals and other support material. Working closely with the Chief Medical Information Officer, the Medical Informatics Advisor will conduct audits of Provider electronic orders, documentation, and use of various applications to support enhancements and increase use of ICT systems. The Advisor must also become familiar with other core applications and their processes to provide support for the clinical teams and participate in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications

Clinical experience with a diploma or degree and in good standing with their respective college or Information Technology Degree or Diploma or equivalent education/work experience
