This is a temporary position with the possibility for extension or permanent placement.
Key position functions include:
- Repair all valve equipment while maintaining high standards of production, documentation and safety.
- Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications.
- Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves.
- Maintain accurate database and documentation.
- Calibrate, function test, and trouble shoot choke valves, and a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric positioners and actuation.
- Record non-conformances as required.
- Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of any irregularities with orders or equipment.
- Organize and maintain the work area, including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers and racking.
- Receiving equipment when required.
- Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Occasional yard maintenance work.
- After-hours availability when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
- High School Diploma.
- Related valve repair, rebuild, and/or teardown experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitor’s equipment is an asset.
- A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Good communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
