Director, People Experience Program Management Office

Role Purpose
You lead the People Experience Programme Management Office (PMO), strengthening its impact, consistency, and effectiveness across the organisation. Building on a strong foundation, you evolve standards, improve delivery quality, and promote disciplined execution across complex, enterprise-wide work.
You lead the People Experience Programme Management team, with accountability for ongoing development, thoughtful resourcing, and overall team performance.
You create clarity around goals and roles so teams can do their best work. You and your team will work with leaders to structure programmes, using data and business insight to inform decisions and raising risks early.
You also support People Experience deal activity for acquisitions and enterprise surge efforts. In these moments, you model disciplined execution, while maintaining a focus on both employee experience and results. This is a hybrid role, based in our Vancouver office. You will report to the Chief of Staff, CPO and SVP People Experience Partnerships.
Lead and Evolve the PMO
- Set the direction for the PMO, aligning priorities to outcomes.
- Promote standards for programme structure, governance, risk management, and reporting.
- Create clarity on goals, ownership, and decision-making to allow strong execution.
- Improve operating rhythms, tools, and forums to increase impact and reduce friction.
Lead a High-Performing Team
- Lead Senior Managers, Managers, and Programme Managers with clear expectations and accountability for results.
- Foster a culture of feedback, coaching, and continuous development.
- Strengthen bench depth and succession to support long-term capability.
- Balance team wellbeing and capacity
Deliver Execution Excellence
- Ensure enterprise people programmes are well-defined, well-governed, and outcome-driven.
- Provide visibility into progress, risks, and trade-offs, escalating early and with solutions.
- Use data, business insight, and to guide informed decisions.
- Promote understanding and shared accountability across People Experience.
Executive Partnership
- Communicate goals and programme health
- Provide decision-ready insights to senior leaders.
- Represent People Experience with credibility in enterprise governance forums.
M&A and Strategic Programs (As Needed)
- Support programme execution for select acquisitions, restructures, or surge efforts.
Change, Communication & Executive Partnership
- Ensure teams apply change management approaches for integrations and large-scale people programmes.
- Review and sponsor executive-level communications and materials.
- Be a trusted partner to HR leadership, Finance, Legal, Comms, and Tech.
- Represent People Experience in governance and enterprise forums.
Experience & Capabilities
- 10+ years in HR, M&A, business transformation, or complex programme leadership.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading teams through change.
- Ownership of mid- to high-complexity acquisitions, integrations, or restructures.
- Can translate data into clear recommendations.
- Experience delivering outcomes through others.
Pay Transparency - North America
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
*British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$157,100 - $216,800 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
