About the role

As a Technician, After-Sales Service, Assistive Technologies, you will be responsible for supporting Kinova's Assistive Technologies products. Among other things, you will facilitate the testing of products to various customers, carry out installations, repairs and follow up support requests to ensure that our products are 100% functional and that their performance meets our customers' expectations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

– Provide technical support to various customers and colleagues;

– Manage and update incoming requests in our system;

– Participate in regional and provincial objectives related to after sales services;

– Perform installations of Kinova products;

– Perform repairs on products in the field or at our offices:

  • Electronic defect analysis, soldering and repair of electronic components, mechanical repairs

– Open requests in the system and participate in problem analysis;

– Work closely with internal partners to improve our products and services;

– Train our customers, distributors and partners in the use and repair of our products, both in North America and Europe;

– Participate in periodic follow-ups with customers;

– Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of internal processes;

– Understand, document and create integration methodologies (e.g. integration with wheelchair software);

– Bilingualism (English/French).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

– Training in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or DEC in electronics or any other relevant experience in the health and/or technical field;

– Interest and strong skills in working with people with disabilities;

– Experience with customer service;

– Interest in new technologies;

– Ability to work in a team, curiosity and excellent interpersonal skills;

– Frequent regional travel, sometimes national and/or international.

ASSETS

– Programming skills;

– Knowledge of the wheelchair industry and experience in the rehabilitation field;

– Experience in the orthotic-prosthetic field.
