Position Summary The warehouse associate is accountable, under direct supervision, to fill customer order requirements with strong team coordination and follow-through abilities to complete full cycle of shipping, stock put away, picking, packing, stocking, documenting, and shipping customized orders, accurately and expeditiously.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders to internal and external customers in the most efficient manner.
- Utilize ERP system to process customer orders.
- Know and follow all standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Keep warehouse manager informed of operations.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
- Attention to detail is REQUIRED.
- Count and record material to ensure accuracy
- Utilize scale to weigh and/or hand count product per warehouse/ customer specifications
- Utilize label printer to prepare labels as required
- Return remaining product to proper location
- Accurately count, package, and label per warehouse/ customer requirements
- Accurately package and prepare material for shipment
- Utilize freight companies, UPS and Fedex to ship product to include preparing Bill of Lading’s.
- Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists. As well as varies power tools to build shipping crates.
- Meet established standards for quality and productivity
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Three to five years general warehousing and shipping experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Alert and aware of safety issues and safeguards required.
- Work well in a team environment required.
- Detailed oriented and perform basic research if require
