Position Overview
We are seeking motivated Firebase Developer Interns to join our team for a 3 to 6-month internship, working 10 to 20 hours per week. This unpaid position is ideal for College or University students seeking internship credit or hands-on experience in Firebase Development, Backend Development, Mobile Application Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related fields. Interns will work alongside our development team to build and maintain the backend infrastructure for mobile applications using Firebase. This role provides practical experience with cloud services, authentication, databases, security, analytics, and scalable backend development.
Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain backend services using Firebase ● Configure and manage Cloud Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database ● Implement user authentication using Firebase Authentication ● Build and maintain Cloud Functions for backend automation ● Configure Firebase Storage for media and file management ● Integrate Firebase services with mobile applications ● Implement push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) ● Monitor application performance using Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics ● Develop secure database rules and access controls ● Optimize database performance and backend scalability ● Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers ● Document backend architecture and development processes Requirements ● Currently enrolled in College or University in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related program ● Familiarity with Firebase services and Google Cloud Platform fundamentals ● Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or similar programming languages ● Understanding of REST APIs and backend development concepts ● Knowledge of Cloud Firestore or Firebase Realtime Database ● Basic understanding of authentication and database security ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ● Excellent communication and teamwork abilities ● Ability to work independently in a remote environment Key Competencies ● Critical thinking and problem-solving ● Planning and organization ● Attention to detail ● Communication skills ● Team collaboration ● Adaptability and willingness to learn ● Backend architecture and cloud technologies ● Time management Benefits ● Gain real-world experience developing scalable backend systems ● Build expertise with Firebase and cloud technologies ● Strengthen your software development portfolio ● Work on live mobile application projects ● Collaborate with experienced developers in a remote environment ● Enhance your resume and career opportunities in backend and cloud development How to Apply If you are passionate about cloud technologies and backend development and are eager to gain hands-on experience with Firebase, we'd love to hear from you.
