As a Gas Bar Attendant at Ucluelet Co-op, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized service to our valued members. We prioritize establishing strong relationships with our members and fostering an environment that encourages their continued patronage. We are seeking a positive, dependable individual with a professional approach and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to provide information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Exchanging and filling propane cylinders for customers
• Assist in ensuring that the Gas Bar is ready for business at the start of the day and secured at the end by: taking out/putting away merchandise, pulling out/retracting the air hose, setting up/taking down the window washing stations, opening/closing the propane dispenser, recording tank gauge readings on propane tank, and any cardlock pump readings.
• Ensure merchandise is adequately stocked and rotated and displays and shelves are orderly displayed and faced
• Performs general housekeeping duties to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, clean, and tidy. This includes but is not limited to, cleaning bathrooms emptying garbage’s, sweeping, cleaning spills, shoveling, spraying down the carwash, etc
• Follows all company policies and procedures and follows safe work procedures and regulations as per Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Be fully competent on all till procedures. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment Attention to detail and accuracy

Working Conditions:

• Flexibility in scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

• Physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., kneeling, pushing, pulling, and occasional stair climbing.

  Wage: $19.53 – $22.99 per hour, based on experience.
