Where you’ll work:
- This is a remote position where you must be based within the USA (some travel may be required as needed). We will provide all equipment to do the necessary functionalities of the position.
What you’ll do: We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven National Account Manager - Business Development to lead the charge in acquiring and expanding new national-level customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone who has a hunter-oriented sales approach and who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening doors, and closing deals with strategic, high-value accounts.
- Identify, target, and secure new national account opportunities aligned with SRS Building Products’ strategic growth goals.
- Develop and execute a plan focused on net new revenue generation.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective accounts, positioning SRS as a strategic partner.
- Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and onboarding of new accounts.
- Represent SRS at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Track pipeline activity, forecast sales, and report progress to senior leadership.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
What we look for:
- Proven track record of prospecting and closing large, complex deals at a national level with the majority being business you developed on your own.
- Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills.
- Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ownership.
- Ability to travel extensively to meet with prospective clients.
- Travel within the territory is required. 50-75% of the work week will be spent on the road meeting with customers, territory manager, branch managers, and vendor partners.
- Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation for travel in your territory.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time.
Qualities that stir our souls (and make you stand out):
- College degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience in the building product material distribution industry
- Experience with Agility operating software package
- Demonstrated experience of leading a high performing sales team is a plus.
