About the role
Overview
Responsible for oversee and coordinate all signage installation activities across Canada and US, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Installation Coordinator act as the central liaison between internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and installation crews. Your role will be crucial in managing project logistics, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Execution
- Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple signage installation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate all essential tasks to ensure timely delivery of signage and successful installation.
- Review accuracy of all site check information before release to internal teams, ensuring “right the first time” data.
- Monitor progress and timeliness of installations both locally and with national Pride Partner networks.
- Update ERP systems with notes, progress, and key dates to provide visibility to all stakeholders.
- Support specific customer service requirements and assist with deficiency resolution.
2. Sub-trade & Vendor Management
- Source, onboard, and consistently develop new contractor partners to maintain regional coverage across Canada and the U.S.
- Negotiate cost-effective pricing on installations, bases, and electrical hook-ups.
- Prepare complete installation packages for sub-trades, including instructions, purchase orders, work orders, and sign details.
- Coordinate installation, service, and base construction work with subcontractors, ensuring permits are secured when required.
- Handle all sub-trade inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Match purchase orders with invoices to confirm installation and service charges are accurate.
3. Technical & Quality Assurance
- Assess site plans, elevation drawings, and site check reports for potential issues and determine resolutions.
- Provide accurate technical advice and guidance to field crews and internal departments.
- Coordinate concrete base installations, ensuring accurate placement, compliance with permits, and client approval before mobilizing subcontractors.
- Review fabrication, installation, and survey photos to verify accuracy and project quality standards.
- Ensure electronic photos and reports are filed promptly into client folders.
4. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Project Managers to align installation schedules with overall project timelines.
- Partner with Sales, Production, Design, and Logistics teams to ensure details are accurate and achievable.
- Share site and installation feedback with internal departments to support continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support across departments to ensure smooth project flow.
5. Health & Safety & Compliance

Ensure subcontractors comply with company H&S program, site safety requirements, and PPE standards.

Track and document equipment and vehicle pre-use checklist, preventive and corrective maintenance, and compliance logs.

Cooperate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee and adhere to plant safety rules.

Participate in continuous improvement of safety practices and reporting.
Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience

Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration preferred.

3–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in signage, construction, or manufacturing.

Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent customer focus with proven experience ensuring satisfaction.

Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; able to manage several projects simultaneously.

Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Computer literacy with MS Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems and project management software.

Knowledge of permitting processes, technical drawings, and construction-related project requirements.
