This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Technical Partnership Development Manager (DevTools) based in Canada.

As an Associate Technical Partnership Development Manager, you will help shape partnerships within the rapidly evolving AI and developer tools ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of technology, product, growth, and business development to identify and execute strategic opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who understands developer workflows, emerging technologies, and open-source communities. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to accelerate adoption and strengthen ecosystem relationships. You will engage directly with founders, developers, and platform teams building the next generation of software tools. Accountabilities

In this role, you will support the development and execution of partnership initiatives with AI builders and developer tooling organizations. You will combine technical understanding, market awareness, and relationship-building skills to identify opportunities and help grow the developer ecosystem.

Engage proactively with developers, builders, and technology platforms using modern development tools and workflows. Support the execution of partnership pipelines by collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams. Manage relationships with onboarded partners and provide support for co-marketing initiatives designed to increase adoption. Research and monitor trends across AI-assisted development, open-source infrastructure, and developer ecosystems to identify new opportunities. Help expand ecosystem presence by building relationships with founders, developers, and platform teams. Conduct market research and strategic analysis to evaluate partnership opportunities and emerging technologies. Contribute insights that help shape ecosystem growth strategies and developer-focused initiatives. Independently manage projects while coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

You are a technically curious and proactive professional who combines business development skills with an understanding of developer technologies. You are comfortable working with technical products, analyzing market opportunities, and building relationships across diverse communities.

Recent graduate in a technical field or 2-5 years of professional experience in areas such as Product Management, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Architecture, or related roles. Familiarity with developer ecosystems, open-source technologies, SaaS business models, and modern software development workflows. Understanding of AI-powered developer tools, LLM-based workflows, or emerging technologies in software development. Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server-based integrations is a plus. Experience with market research, strategic analysis, partnership development, or ecosystem growth initiatives. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and evaluate business opportunities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders and present ideas clearly. Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing projects independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience building side projects or prototypes using AI-powered development tools is a strong advantage. Familiarity with developer go-to-market strategies, open-source communities, AI startups, or developer tooling companies is a plus.
