North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are currently seeking energetic, responsible and highly-motivated individuals who are able to prepare and lead a wide variety of age appropriate activities for preschool and school age children.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE You will deliver excellent customer service by leading activities and games, creating a safe and fun environment, and ensuring all birthday party guests have a memorable experience.
ABOUT YOU You are a courteous and effective team player committed to providing quality and safe parties to the community. You are reliable, responsive to customer needs, and excellent at building relationships. You will be comfortable working with young children, parents, other leaders, volunteers and facility staff.
Responsibilities include:

Greet party guests and parents

Prepare for and lead fun, safe and engaging games and activities

Give modifications for different levels of ability and encourage participants’ involvement

Set up and take down of party activity and food-service areas

Cooperatively and respectfully work with facility staff and other NVRC Birthday Party Leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be a minimum of 15 years of age and have previous experience leading or working with preschool and/or school age children. Successful candidates must have (or be willing to obtain) current Emergency or Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and complete a Police Information Check prior to appointment. High Five certificates must be obtained within 3 months of employment. Birthday parties are in a variety of locations usually on Saturdays or Sundays.
**HOURLY RATE:**The pay for this casual position ranges between $19.19 -$20.25 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay.
