About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Director to oversee multiple childcare centres across Scarborough, North York, Aurora, and Whitby . In this leadership role, you’ll ensure that each centre operates efficiently and meets our high standards for care, safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned childcare centres
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and regulatory standards
- Support and mentor Site Directors and centre staff
- Conduct monthly centre visits and monitor licensing documentation
- Provide leadership in programming, staffing, customer service, and child development
- Manage centre readiness including supplies, staffing, and scheduling
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
- Respond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries and concerns
- Accurately review reports and checklists to ensure quality and consistency
- Promote a positive work environment and uphold company values
Requirements
- RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) in good standing with the College of ECEs
- Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (required for site travel)
- Experience in multi-site childcare leadership or centre management
- Strong understanding of childcare licensing and health regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
- Up-to-date immunizations and 2-step TB test
- Physically able to lift up to 45 lbs as needed in a childcare setting
