Role: Full Stack Developer
Location: Toronto (4 days on-site) Type: Contract Rate: CAD40/hr - CAD50/hr
Role Overview
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot/Microservices) and Angular or Node.js to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, modern DevOps practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust frontend and backend applications using Angular, Java Spring Boot, and/or Node.js. Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices. Contribute to application architecture and implement scalable, reusable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams, including product owners, stakeholders, and developers. Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or OpenShift using Docker and Kubernetes. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices. Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality. Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production applications using tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace. Drive continuous improvement through automation, innovation, and adoption of modern technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience of Full Stack Development experience Top 3 Skills: Java (Spring Boot/Microservices) Angular or Node.js Cloud & DevOps (AWS/Azure/OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) Additional Requirements: Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift. Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
