What is the Ooks Life Team? Every year, NAITSA hires a team of student leaders to help plan and promote events and initiatives for their fellow NAIT students. The Ooks Life Team (OLT) works together to create memorable experiences and a strong sense of campus community.

Being part of OLT means you’ll grow your skills, meet new people, and make a real impact on campus (all while getting paid to do it!)

There are several positions on the Ooks Life Team—ranging from Clubs Events and Clubs Finance to Promotions, Volunteer, and Events Coordinators. Each has unique responsibilities, but everyone collaborates to bring campus life to the next level.

Position Summary

As a Campus Clubs Finance Coordinator, you’ll be the main point of contact for club leaders seeking peer-to-peer support with their financial processes. You’ll help clubs navigate purchases, grants, reimbursements, and other transactions while fostering positive relationships between NAITSA and the student clubs community.

This role focuses on supporting financial activities for Campus Clubs programming and mentoring club leaders on financial policies, procedures, and best practices.

What You’ll Do

The Campus Clubs Finance Coordinator supports both the financial operations and administrative functions of the Campus Clubs department. This role focuses on two main areas:

Finance and Administrative Support

Support the Campus Clubs office with financial and administrative processes, including purchase requests, grants, post-event financial reporting, and club deposits Collect and organize data for club reports to support departmental goals Assist with Campus Clubs events and initiatives such as Leadership Flagship events, Club Showcases, and the Elevation Series Participate in OLT meetings and cross-team projects Provide occasional coverage for the Campus Clubs front desk (open Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:00PM) Positing on the Ooks Life App during event shifts and support shifts Support additional sub-committee initiatives or special projects as needed

Club Leader Support

Provide peer-to-peer support (in-person or virtual) to guide club leaders through financial procedures such as purchase requests, grant applications, reimbursements, and deposits (Kickstart, Eventbrite, Square, etc.) Mentor club executives through the Ookslife.ca Club Training Paths focused on financial processes Attend club events when required to offer on-site support and help clubs use tools like the Event Check-In App and Square payment systems Co-lead workshops to improve financial literacy among club leaders

Hours of Work & Employment Term

Part-time, temporary position starting July 2026 and ending April 30, 2027 Hours are flexible and vary each month based on club activity; additional hours are assigned as tasks arise Includes at least one 3-hour office shift per week (Monday to Friday, typically between 11:00am–2:00pm, adjustable to class schedule/availability) Primarily on campus, with occasional off-campus or remote work as needed

Qualifications

Enrolled NAIT student for the entire 2026–27 year Must be available for shifts during peak periods including NAIT Student Orientation, Pancake Breakfast, and Nest Fest Availability for weekday shifts (Monday – Friday) Great communicator, both written and verbal Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data Financial literacy and/or prior finance or accounting experience is an asset Comfortable with ookslife.ca, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Able to lift up to 25 lbs Access to a computer with a camera and mic for meetings or remote work Successful completion of a Canadian Criminal Background Check (expense covered by NAITSA)
