Job Overview: We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to support and enhance our financial systems, including Business Central, BlackLine, Octacom, Certify, and our Fresh service ticketing platform. This role will focus on day-to-day system support, process improvement, and helping implement new tools and workflows as the business grows.
This position will work closely with Finance, IT, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to resolve issues, optimize system usage, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early to mid-career who is eager to develop their technical and business skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties: System Support & Operations
- Provide day-to-day support for financial systems including Business Central, BlackLine, Octacom, and Certify.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain system configurations, workflows, user access, and data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Manage all requests through the Fresh service ticketing platform.
- Triage, prioritize, and resolve tickets based on urgency and business impact.
- Track SLAs and ensure consistent follow-ups.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term fixes.
- Maintain and expand the self-service knowledge base and documentation.
Enhancements & New Implementations
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and new feature rollouts.
- Assist with configuration, testing (UAT), deployment, and post-launch stabilization.
- Participate in the implementation of new financial tools, processes, and workflows.
- Help gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Analyze current financial workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend and implement system-driven solutions to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
- Support standardization of processes and best practices across teams.
- Continuously look for ways to optimize how systems are used.
Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to understand needs and challenges.
- Act as a liaison with external vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements.
- Support vendor escalations and roadmap discussions.
Testing, Documentation & Training
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements and new implementations.
- Create and maintain system documentation, process flows, and user guides.
- Support user training and ongoing adoption of system features.
- Ensure documentation remains current and accessible
Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems, business systems, or finance operations role.
- Exposure to ERP systems, close management tools, or expense platforms.
- Experience using or supporting a ticketing system (Fresh service, Jira) is a strong asset.
- Basic understanding of finance processes such as AP, AR, GL, close, or expense management.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt and interact at all levels throughout the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate at all levels throughout the organization.
- Ability to balance conflicting responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Capable of managing a heavy workload.
- Able to deal with people ethically, honestly and with integrity.
