What can you expect from this position? Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Associate Director, IT Strategic Programs & Enterprise Integration plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing GTAA’s IT transformation agenda. This role establishes and runs IT’s integrated planning, governance, and performance system and leads the operating model transformation within IT and across the enterprise. You will partner with IT leaders and enabling functions (Strategy, Transformation Office, HR, Finance) to translate Pearson’s enterprise strategy into a sequenced IT roadmap with clear outcomes, dependencies, and measures.

You will champion continuous improvement, drive cultural change, and ensure alignment across IT leadership on innovation and transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

As an Associate Director, IT Strategic Programs and Enterprise Integration you will:

  • Lead integrated IT planning by translating enterprise strategy into a sequenced roadmap with clear outcomes, dependencies, and measurable KPIs.
  • Drive IT’s operating model transformation, introducing new interaction patterns and collaborative processes across IT and enterprise functions.
  • Establish governance frameworks, scorecards, OKRs, and dashboards to monitor IT performance and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with Corporate Strategy, Finance, HR, and Transformation Office to secure funding and support for IT initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning forums and executive sessions to align priorities and resolve competing demands.
  • Champion cultural and organizational change within IT, fostering collaboration and alignment with GTAA’s enterprise behaviors.
  • Maintain visibility of IT initiatives, resource allocation, and capacity planning to ensure delivery efficiency and strategic alignment.
  • Provide financial analysis and benefit realization frameworks to justify investments and track ROI for IT programs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance governance, and improve IT operating effectiveness through continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across IT and enterprise teams, influencing stakeholders and driving results without direct reporting authority.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • 5+ years in strategy, planning, business management, consulting, or project management.
  • Proven experience facilitating cross-functional planning and synthesizing diverse inputs into integrated plans.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational and cultural change initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence senior leaders in complex environments.
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, including executive presentations and briefing documents.
  • Solid analytical skills and comfort with financial metrics to support business cases and benefits realization.
  • Project management expertise and familiarity with reporting and analytics tools.
  • Ability to negotiate competing priorities and foster collaborative solutions across multiple stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
