As a Senior Learning Specialist, you will play a critical role in learning content strategy and execution using adult learning concepts to ensure that technicians receive the training required to be successful in the roles.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the full instructional design lifecycle from needs analysis to evaluation
  • Conduct a learning needs analysis to gather stakeholder and business requirements, determine competencies, and make recommendations on the ideal blend of modalities.
  • Design and develop cutting-edge learning solutions across multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, and hybrid)
  • Build competency and role based learning paths (curriculums)
  • Create engaging multimedia content including e-learning modules, videos, and job aids
  • Develop adaptive and personalized learning experiences
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create impactful learning experience recommendations
  • Create work-back schedules and track project milestones
  • Manage multiple learning development projects simultaneously
  • Implement data-driven approaches to measure and enhance learning effectiveness
  • Drive innovation in learning technology and methodologies
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance work processes and learning solutions
  • Mentor, train and support Learning Specialists on the team

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Proven experience in instructional design, content development, and learning strategy with demonstrated expertise in ADDIE and SAM models
  • Advanced skills in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360), LMS platforms, and video development tools (Google Vids, Vyond)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with proven track record of successful project delivery and ability to support multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with excellent stakeholder management capabilities and technical/business writing proficiency
  • Comprehensive multimedia design and video development capabilities with strong visual design skills
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse learning solutions with excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Creative problem-solving approach with ability to think outside the box for innovative learning solutions
  • Experience with AI and machine learning applications in learning environments
  • Data analysis and learning analytics experience to inform decision-making

Great-to-haves

  • Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to emerging educational technologies

  • 3+ years in training strategy/operational excellence or Bachelor's degree in Business, Training & Development, or related field

  • Telecommunications industry knowledge

  • Bilingual (English/French)

Salary Range: $72,000-$108,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
